Homelessness is a complex issue that cannot be fixed with a few simple solutions. To truly address the homeless problem one needs to understand the many components. While getting homeless people, children, seniors, and veterans off the streets is a high priority, determining what care and services are needed to keep them off the streets and back into mainstream society takes compassion and cooperation from regional leaders, community groups, law enforcement, and advocates to really address the problems. Transitional housing, drug and alcohol rehab, job training, services for children, and other programs can be the helping hand to help lift the homeless out from a hopeless situation.
